Hayley’s DIY festive front entrance 🚪

Front entrance not looking the most inviting? Take some tips from Hayley (@iamhayleystuart) ✨
With the guests ready to pop around any minute, Hayley just had to refresh her front entrance. She DIY’d a Christmas wreath, a brand new door plaque and even installed some handy hooks in her hallway. We sat down to learn more about Hayley’s rental home, how she pulled off her creative project and her 2023 trend predictions

Hayley’s home 🏡

“My home is an extension of my personality. It’s full of creativity, colour, pattern and texture. I’m very much inspired by Moroccan interiors and you will see this throughout my home. I always try to make things where possible, as I love DIY and the sense of achievement it brings.”

The front entrance🔧

“My porch has recently been refreshed using tiles from my own collection, as well as a new colour on the door. The space was missing a few things to make it guest-ready in time for Christmas. My wreath was made using fresh moss, pine, 3 different types of eucalyptus, some poppy seed heads, dried apple and a ribbon to complement the door.”

Christmas came early 🎁

“Upon opening my package, I was extremely happy with my CASLON Door numbers, PULLMAN Hooks & KEATs Letterplate. The quality of the PULLMAN Hook is outstanding and the KEATs Letterplate has a gorgeous satin brass finish.”

3 quick pre-Christmas jobs 🌲

  1. “Putting up my tree has soon become a quick last minute job, due to some DIY projects I’ve been doing.
  2. Not necessarily the quickest job, but I will be giving our kitchen a refresh before Christmas.
  3. I also love to have a pre-Christmas declutter and make sure we have storage for the things we keep.”

Money-saving therapy 🧘‍♂️

“I think one of the most obvious reasons for DIY'ing is to save money, although it's great for mental health too. It provides a sense of achievement and It’s also very addictive.”

2023 Trend prediction 📈

Sustainability is HUGE and will continue to be a topic of conversation in the interiors world. It’s important to try and make things using natural materials, such as wood, rattan, concrete and linen. Upcycling pre-loved items is encouraged too.”

Pinned inspiration 📍

“I actually pull inspiration from all over the place, but Pinterest is a staple platform for me. In terms of accounts to follow, some of my favourites are:”

Poppin’ tunes 🎵

“Honestly, I absolutely love James Arthur. I've been mainly listening to his albums whilst DIY’ing. I also love 90s and 00’s RnB, as I find it so nostalgic.”

A big thanks to Hayley for joining us for a TEA BREAK ☕ Why not follow her DIY journey over at @iamhayleystuart?
